1- You should have all your vacation planning information in one place. It is good to have a folder which is labeled with the name of your vacation on it, within this folder you can keep all your important information. You can keep things in it such as your airline, car rental information, maps and a book, tourist information and also contacts for people that you know.
2- Always plan ahead, in terms of what you will be wearing. Think about what you're going to do on your holiday, this will determine the type of clothing that you will need. An example of this is, if you are going to be on the beach, then obviously you need swim-wear, you might also need a beach towel too.
3- Having a travel checklists is a great way to keep on top of things. You can create a packing list to start you off. Once you have written down all the things that you need you can then put it in your travel file. This is great to help you remember the necessities.
4- If you bring children on your vacation, make sure that they do their own package and also that they can carry their own bags. Also, make sure that you have some activities for them to take part in while on the road or in the air. Video games, CDs, cards, all of these are possible things to do for children.
5- You will need to have a bag which is small that you can keep around. This bag should have all your immediate necessities, in case you get separated from your baggage. You may also need it if you need regular medication.
These are just a few tips that you can use to improve your vacation. It is better to plan ahead so that you will have complete peace of mind once you get to your destination.
